A landscape and a lamb...

So I took a little blogging breather after the bedroom reveal, but life hasn't slowed down at the House on Chambers. The Jennifer Shears landscape is stretched and hung, positioned above a demi-lune linen bench I spotted recently at Two Pairs. We're happy with the result, and Belly the Ragdoll is thrilled with yet another piece of upholstered furniture just for her.

Meanwhile, we've had a new addition to our growing menagerie...

When seeking a good photo, never work with animals or farmers...
This little orphaned lamp came home with Farmer Joe after work one day, and has quickly become the most pampered creature alive. With six daily feeds, a hot water bottle and a position close to the fire at night, Farmer Joe is a little horrified by the indulgence (but everyone else is happy). And the budding friendship between the lamb and Georgia the Corgi has already led to mischief. These two went 'exploring' last week leading to a search by Farmer Joe, who found them some time later playing happily in an irrigated lucerne crop. The lamb got a ride back on the motorbike, and Georgia got a long run home...

  2. I always have to laugh at your posts like this are you are too like me! I have had a lamb in the kitchen before trying to save it. About 5 years ago and we have since got rid of all of the sheep! Maybe my doing? Love the landscape and the bench. xx

  5. They are so gorgeous. I'm a huge softie when it comes to animals, and our pets are all very pampered. My Mum always jokes that she wants to come back as one of my pets! :)

Love your painting and those cushions. x

  6. Welcome back, even thought I communicate with you most days, it's nice to know that you're not dead! Love the demi-lune bench B, well done on steering away from the standard! PS: the farm girl in me is appalled at the way you treat the farm animals! hehe
